The Opportunity

Consor is currently looking for a Transportation Highway design engineer for our Highway group in the Mississauga office. As a dynamic and growing engineering consulting firm, Consor is full of opportunities for career development.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Highway/Roadway design projects
  • Develop design concepts into preliminary designs, including preparation of design briefs, detailed geometry and general layout development, as well as other infrastructure elements
  • Preliminary cost estimates
  • Use and expand knowledge of current industry practices and standards and undertake engineering analysis following these approved standards and procedures.
  • Attend/prepare presentations for Public Information Centres as required.

Required Credentials

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • A professional engineering license 
  • 4 plus years of experience working in highway and roadway studies/design/transportation planning.
  • Experiences with roadway design software: Autocad, MicroStation/ Open Roads
  • Read, interpret, review, and prepare engineering plans and drawings, specifications, presentations, reports, and other documents.

Possible Compensation: The pay range for this role is based on several factors including education, experience, training, licensure and certifications, work location, specific job duties and other organizational needs. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual and spot incentive program (based on individual and company performance).
