Consor is currently looking for a Construction Project Manager for our Construction department in our Gainesville, Florida office.  As a dynamic and growing engineering consulting firm, Consor is full of opportunities for career development. 

What You'll Do

 

 

  • Responsible for administering the project construction contract documents and inspections of the construction site to ensure compliance with project, regulations, and project specifications.
  • Verify the quality of construction materials and workmanship, addressing any discrepancies or issues promptly.
  • Collaborate closely with the project management team and subcontractors to ensure adherence to construction plans and schedules.
  • Document and report any observed deviations from plans, providing detailed reports and recommendations for corrective action.
  • Conduct final inspections and prepare reports for the project's completion, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, daily work reports, and correspondence related to the project.

What You'll Need

 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a roadway project administrator in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of highway construction and FDOT specifications,  regulations, and construction practices.
  • Familiarity with the inspection process and ability to identify and address construction issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to clearly convey project findings and recommendations.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with and supervise other project staff .
  •  Proficient computer skills, including experience with CPM schedule, and MS Office® and report writing.
  • Company vehicle for official site visits and travel.
  • Laptop and mobile phone to facilitate effective communication and reporting.
