What Your Day Will Look Like

Consor has an opportunity available out of our Draper, UT office for a full-time Public Involvement Intern, with the potential to move into a full-time staff position, pending job performance. This position requires a candidate with strong time management, written and verbal communication, planning, organization, active listening, and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate possesses the ability to take initiative, work independently, and coordinate efforts with multi-discipline teams. The candidate must demonstrate excellent attention to detail and have the ability to produce high quality work under short time constraints. Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator is helpful.

 

Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test and background check.

 

This is a full-time position, between 30-40+ hours per week, intended to begin in early May 2024. The internship will continue through September 2024, with the potential to extend from there as a full-time staff member, pending performance and Consor’s work load.

 

 

Pay will range from $20-$25 per hour, depending on experience level and education status

What You'll Do

  • Provide Public Involvement (PI) support for infrastructure projects including one-on-one meetings with stakeholders, email updates, 24/7 hotline management, website updates, social media, etc.
  • Develop PI materials (PI plans, flyers, postcards, etc.)
  • Attend project meetings, take notes, and follow-up on action items
  • Prepare for and attend public meetings/open houses, when necessary
  • Assist with project kickoff/closeout events

What You'll Need

  • Is in pursuit of/has a degree in communications, journalism, English, public relations, marketing, or advertising
  • Is proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Has excellent writing skills
  • Has familiarity with municipal and government policies
  • Has a valid driver's license
