What Your Day Will Look Like:

Reporting to the Director of Total Rewards, the Benefits Manager will be responsible for the organization’s benefits programs. This leader will oversee weekly and bi-weekly feeds in the U.S. and Canada through the ADP Workforce Now HCM platform. The Benefits Manager will lead innovative benefits initiatives, develop health and wellbeing market competitive offerings suitable to the population, the communication and administration of programs, and vendor management. The incumbent will also ensure the offerings continue to evolve with the growth and strategic objectives of the company. 

What You'll Do:

  • Own the suite of benefits for the U.S. and Canada, ensuring program administration, support, and compliance aligns with the company’s values and priorities in a self-funded plan.
  • Maintain tight reporting to understand the return on investment and make recommendations on any needed shifts in strategy or spend
  • Lead annual Open Enrollment efforts, including communication strategy and coordination with internal technology or vendors to implement benefits changes
  • Work with benefits broker and retirement advisor to periodically benchmark and assess current programs to understand gaps in our plans and costs associated with aligning to more competitive offerings.
  • Think creatively and with an eye for innovation relative to insurance and retirement benefits, considering flexibility to meet a diverse array of employee needs.
  • Implement comprehensive benefits communication strategies for insurance and retirement to drive employee awareness and engagement.
  • Evaluate and negotiate with third-party vendors, focusing on costs and service.
  • Collaborate with the broader HR and accounting team to develop a consistent approach to compliance.
  • Execute compliance requirements, such as annual filings, nondiscrimination testing, and reports.
  • Provide service feedback according to established customer service standards and service-level agreements.
  • Lead benefits integrations for acquired companies in partnership with the Chief People Officer.
  • Prepares reports on benefit initiatives to measure success and recommend opportunities for improvement.
  • Work with leaders across the regions and verticals on how services or programs may need to shift to support the needs of the business.
  • Prepare self-insured financial projections and support health plan management, including financial reporting, premium rate setting, and employee contributions.
  • Conduct employee benefits studies, including benchmarking and modeling alternative designs.
  • Evaluate vendors by reviewing services, contracts, performance guarantees, and renewals.
  • Analyze claims utilization data and assess health plan performance against strategy.
  • Administer Consor's 401k program, including mergers with acquired entities, compliance assurance, and manages annual 401k audit
  • Review and reconcile provider invoices.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

What You'll Need:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience) and 8 years of Benefits experience and experience with Self-funded benefits programs.
