As a Engineer or EIT Diver at Consor you will be preparing for and working on dive teams for our structural assessment contracts locally, regionally and around the US. You will help plan, schedule and coordinate dive assignments in the field. You will serve as a bridge inspector, diver and engage on the report side of the inspection. Your path to a Team Leader will be quick so you will be in the water honing your craft from day one as well as learning to lead a team and project. We will also teach and involve you in top side inspection of bridges and other structures to protect the travelling public and gain full inspection experiences.
As a Junior Engineer on the Structural Assessment team at Consor, you will have a mix of field and office opportunities. Your field work will encompass inspection of all types of bridges, overhead signs, dams, and tunnels. Travel to these structures could be locally or even across the United States on an infrequent basis. In the field, you will be collecting measurements, using various methods to document structural conditions, take photographs, and complete other documentation, while recording the information on a tablet. As a Transportation Engineering Project Manager, you’ll support transportation improvement projects with the design and detailing of local, county, and state roadway and highway projects. You’ll assist with geometric analyses and calculations using established design criteria and standard software. The roadway design engineer reports to the project manager.
